I have never cooked with dried mushrooms, and I am allergic. Can I leave them out of the recipe altogether, or should I substitute something in place of them in the dish? I have no idea where you get arrowroot before. I have heard of it, but I have never used it.

Hi SissieSass, I think you can just omit the dried mushrooms. Arrowroot powder can be found with other thickeners like cornstarch. If you can't find it, cornstarch is actually a good substitute. - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes
