Why does this dish call for whole kernel and creamed corn? Can you just use two of one or the other, or does it make a big difference like it does in corn casserole? I think this sounds really good except for the creamed corn like everyone else is commenting on below.

I am having trouble understanding exactly what this will taste like. I don't understand the creamed corn. I wish there were a few large pictures featured on there, too. I really don't think this would be something I would make. The beef with the brown gravy and the peppers sounds good- but everything else just confuses me to death.

I just did a search to see if I could find this recipe on another site, typing in "slow cooker chinese pie" and I found the same recipe on About.com. It says to cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.

How is this chinese? There are no asian ingrediants in it.

This sounds really good, but where is the rest of the recipe? I see where it says, "brown ground beef...add corn", but it doesn't tell you what to do next, just repeats the same information.

How long to you cook this?
