Do you ever add a pinch of sugar to balance out the tomato paste in your dish? My mom always tells me to use a pinch, that I don't need more than that to give the paste a little less acidity. It seems to work, but I didn't know if other people use the same trick. I like using it the most in Johnny Marzetti.
