Ingredients
- 1/2 (2-pound) package boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- salt and fresh pepper to taste
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced or 1/2 teaspoon bottled minced garlic
- 4 ounces sliced, fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons chopped, fresh basil, plus additional leaves for serving
Instructions

Insert a plastic slow cooker liner bag into your slow cooker.

Add chicken to the bottom of your slow cooker liner bag, and season with salt and pepper.

Top chicken with onion, garlic and mushrooms.

Stir together wine, tomato paste, and basil in a small bowl. Pour over chicken.

Reserve basil leaves to top finished dish for serving.
