Slow Cooker Italian-Style Pulled Pork

This delicious Slow Cooker Italian-Style Pulled Pork recipe uses authentic flavors and spices. Slow Cooker Time LOW8 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Prohibition Spice Family's Italian-Style Sausage Seasoning (spicy or mild)
  • 4 pound pork shoulder
  • 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic
  • oregano

Instructions

  1. Rinse pork shoulder and pat dry.

  2. Pour Prohibition Spice seasoning packet into a bowl and mix well.

  3. Sprinkle seasoning over the meat and massage it in. Make sure you get a nice even coating covering the entire cut of meat.

  4. Pour can of tomatoes into slow cooker, and cover with a thin layer of salt, pepper, garlic and oregano.

  5. Add the sliced onions and mix well.

  6. Place pork in slow cooker, cover, set to LOW, and let it cook for 6-8 hours.

  7. Remove shoulder from slow cooker, and shred with 2 forks. Return meat to slow cooker, stir well to mix with sauce.

  8. Serve meat on your choice of bun. We recommend a little mozzarella cheese on top.
