Wow, I would never have thought to use something like fennel. I am not sure what it tastes like though, do you have a comparison? I love that you added the peppers. I think when you want a spicy meal that is not overly hot, then pepperocini's are a perfect addition to any dish. I like to grow them in my garden and use them fresh too.
