Texas Pete Buffalo Chicken Sloppy Joes
We've all had homemade sloppy joes at one time or another, but this recipe for Texas Pete Buffalo Chicken Sloppy Joes takes your mama's recipe to the next level (sorry, Mom). This easy sloppy joe recipe will knock you socks off! Made with shredded chicken, Texas Pete's Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce, regular barbeque sauce, and a blend of diced onions and red bell peppers for a new spin on the classic joe that you haven't tried before. Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, diced
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for vegetables)
- 1 onion, diced (small)
- 1 red bell pepper, diced (small)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jar Texas Pete Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce
- 1/2 bottle barbeque Sauce
- 6 kaiser or french rolls, toasted
Instructions

Place 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large saute pan and heat on medium heat. Add chicken in a single layer to hot oil without crowding and cook on each side until browned.

Place chicken into slow cooker.

In pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil on medium heat and saute diced onion, bell pepper and minced garlic until soft. Add to slow cooker.

Add Texas Pete Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce and barbeque sauce to the slow cooker and stir.

Cover slow cooker and cook on LOW until chicken falls apart easily about 6-7 hours.

Use two forks to shred chicken in the slow cooker.
