Ultimate Slowcooker Mashed Potatoes

"Creamy mashed potatoes are always such a comfort food to me. What I don't like the most is when I cook them on the stovetop and they boil over. No matter what trick I have tried to use. Then when I saw the idea of doing them in the slow cooker I thought where have I been all this time? Hardly any mess except in the slow cooker and all of your preparation (adding the extra ingredients) keeps the mess inside of the pot."
