The Kyocera Santoku Knife and Slicer Set includes a 5.5" ceramic Santoku knife and a ceramic slicer. The knife is multipurpose and can handle almost all of your chopping needs. The slicer adjusts to four different size settings to easily create the perfect vegetable slices.
The Kyocera Adjustable Slicer is shockingly simple to use. The finger guard included has spikes to use for attaching your vegetable for slicing. Then the guard is run back and forth across the ceramic blade. Every time you run across the blade, a perfect slice of vegetable will emerge on the other side. The handheld slicer works best with small vegetables like cucumbers, carrots, potatoes, and garlic that can easily hook onto the guard.
I love that there are different settings for adjusting the size of the slice produced. A bar on the back of the Slicer allows you to quickly switch between four settings. The size of the slice can range from 0.5 mm up to 3.0 mm.
The ceramic blade on the Satonku Knife makes cutting anything, no matter how tough, easy as can be. The fact that it is made from ceramic and not steel, makes it less likely to dull; plus you won't ever transfer nasty metal particles onto your food. The ceramic material also makes the knife incredibly lightweight. The best part of using the Kyocera Santoku Knife is that it can go straight in the dishwasher for an easy clean-up.
This slicer and knife set can handle just about any vegetable prep you may need to do. The ceramic blades stay incredibly sharp and both of the tools are super lightweight.
