This is an easy way to make General Tso's chicken and a way to make sure your meal is hot and fresh right out of the slow cooker. All the years I ordered Chinese food, I never thought of making it in my slow cooker. This looks really good. The next weekend we want Chinese food I will make this instead of ordering take out.

I love how this Asian recipe doesn't call for anything that you need to go to a specialty store for. Hoisin sauce can be found at practically every supermarket nowadays, and the rest I always seem to have on hand. I like to add some crunch by topping it with slivered almonds or cashew halves at the end. To make it a full nutritious meal, I serve it atop a bed of brown rice with some tender - crisp steamed green beans.

My husband hates chicken and he will eat this recipe every time. The fact that you can make it in a crock pot makes it so much easier for me to cook. Would you recommend doubling the cooking time if I doubled the recipe up to make enough for our large family?

General Tsao's Chicken is one dish I have never made but it does look good and I have all the ingredients on hand. I even have sesame seeds which I use mostly for baking and stir fry dishes , including black sesame seeds.
