I agree that this seems a little silly sounding to make, but if the dry mixes can cook on top of the fruit without mixing, who knows. I want to try it just to see how it turns out with the cream cheese. I imagine keeping a close eye on it so it does not burn is a big thing.

Hi SissieSass, there is no dry cake mix added on top of this recipe. According to the directions, the dry cake mix is added to the cream cheese mixture. I hope that clears things up! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes

So you've got a mixture of eggs, milk, and cream cheese for the first layer, cherry pie filling for the next layer, and then the box cake mix on top. Very simple to do. Gotta add that scoop of ice cream on there to make it a complete dessert.

What! Are you kidding me. Sounds so delicious and so simple to make. I cannot wait to try this. A good desert to take to a family reunion or make for a holiday party or even a get together with friends. People will surely ask for the recipe and will not believe with just a few ingredients you will have a super great dessert and no slaving over the oven. Can you add blueberry pie filling instead of cherry?
