Sarah Olson is one of today's leading slow cooker recipe bloggers and her debut cookbook, The Magical Slow Cooker, is a must-have for any slow cooker lover! The cookbook is filled with some of the easiest and most delicious recipes.
I loved this cookbook because it is all about making things easy to understand and execute. All of the recipes are written in a super easy-to-follow way and have small ingredient lists. The book is broken into several great chapters such as "Party Food" and "Soups and Stews". The cookbook really explores all the different ways you can get the most out of your slow cooker. The playful cookbook is also filled with cute graphics and great pictures, making it fun to peruse.
Some of my favorite recipes included the Artichoke Parmesan Dip (pg. 30), the Sour Cream Beef Stroganoff (pg. 120), and the Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole (pg. 145). The variety of recipes included in the cookbook, mean you can make a completely different and delicious meal in your slow cooker every day of the week. The dessert chapter also had some new favorites like Pumpkin Caramel Flan (pg. 196) and Cherry Chip Jar Cookies (pg. 200).
Whether you have experience using a slow cooker or not, this cookbook will walk you through everything you need to know. The whole family will love these tasty recipes. You can watch as the magic of your slow cooker reveals itself with just the press of a button!
