I love to entertain during the holiday season, but I don't like to blow my entire grocery budget in order to do so. I have made these with both kielbasa and skinless beef smoked sausages and they turned out great. If you are smart enough to figure out how to slice a pre - cooked sausage, you can easily make this appetizer. Idiot cooking at its best!

Ok, this has got to be one of the easiest recipes to make in the crock pot. I can see my kids devouring a plate of these before I get to eat one. I was wondering if you tried making this without the sugar? I am diabetic, and using unsweetened applesauce is perfect, but I am not sure how the consistency of the dish would change without the sugar.

This recipe for apple kielbasa bites looks so simple but delicious! I have a couple finicky eaters in my family, and these look like they would satisfy even those hard to please kiddos. I never thought of sausage with applesauce before. This is a great inexpensive party food idea!
