I come from a big family of Italians, so I always tend to scoff at those prepared meatballs that you find in the freezer section. They are much too salty and they just don't taste natural. The slow cooker is ideal for making meatballs from scratch, since they cannot burn and they turn out incredibly moist and tender. Not to mention the fabulous flavor that they lend to the sauce!
