Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef, browned with salt and pepper
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 (15.25-ounce) can black beans
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 4 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 (12-ounce) can of beer
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
Instructions

Get your beef cooking with some salt and pepper while you assemble the rest of the ingredients. Place you onions into your crock with the liner in place.

Next, pour in the black beans and diced tomatoes.

Add the tomato sauce, bouillon cube, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin and chili powder.

Add the beer.

Finally, add the ground beef and stir.

Cook on LOW for 7 to 10 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.

I've heard of beer in chili but never tried it before and can't help but wonder...Does it take on the flavor of beer? The recipe itself is really simple and there's nothing bad about that. To be honest, there are so many ways to make chili you can't really go wrong no matter which route you decide to go. I think I'll it a try...
