Here is a special recipe for Valentines Day, but it really can be made any time of year to share with your significant other. Slow Cooker Strawberry Mulled Wine is something different that you can enjoy for a special occasion. You can pick your favorite red wine to be the base of this delicious slow cooker red wine drink. We used some apple cider and went with some brown sugar to sweeten the drink up. With strawberries and some orange peel twists, you have your drink mix simmer in your slow cooker for around 2 hours and then you get to taste the yummy results. You will not be disappointed.

If nothing else, this serves up really pretty. It is not often that I even drink alcoholic beverages but this is an interesting concept. I am expecting to host a special event in the Spring and I think my group would appreciate a beverage like this.

The great thing about this recipe is that frozen strawberries can be used in this recipe, so it is perfect to serve in the fall and winter months as well. I think it would be a great change of pace around the Thanksgiving holiday, when everyone seems to be serving pumpkin spice lattes for their after dinner drinks. Be careful when you ladle it though, because it will stain your shirt!

The next pick your own crop around these parts will be for strawberries. This will be a great recipe to try. We always pick so many and I can tell you now, we will not be buying any strawberry jam or preserves for a while to come. Thanks for this interesting recipe.

This sounds delicious! I've never tried mulled wine, but I've always wanted to. I'm excited to make this recipe.
