RawSpiceBar delivers exotic and delicious spices right to your door. The subscription comes with three hand selected spices, as well as a recipe to correspond with each spice or blend. They also include a brief history of the spices and where they originate from. 

Subscription boxes are everywhere you turn these days. This is the first subscription box for spices that I have seen. I like the concept because you can't find most of the spices in stores and may never try them otherwise.

I also like that the boxes are all centralized around a theme. The box I received had all spices native to Ethiopia. I loved reading about the history behind the spices. I also like that you can use all the spices to make a full Ethiopian meal. They include a recipe for a main dish, side dish, and dessert.

My box included two spices I had never heard of, Berbere and Ethiopian Mitmita, plus Pumpkin Pie Spice. Each of the spice packets has a description of the flavors and the full ingredient list. They also recommend different ways to use the spices. Each of the packets has 4 ounces of the spice which is the perfect amount to experiment with.
