With the healthy alternatives that you put into the dish, I am surprised that you did not use the whole wheat flour too. Is there a reason you chose white flour? Many of my friends don't like the flavor of wheat, but we found that one way to minimize the taste and get the same texture as white flour is to use half of each. Have you ever worked with whole wheat flour?

I always look for variations of recipes that our family already loves. Salisbury Steak is one of those. Pure comfort food. Love it! Interesting ingredient here is panko? Sounds good though. I am definitely going to try this one. I wonder if the kids will even notice the difference? Occasionally, they do!
