This version takes about an hour to make, which is relatively quick as slow cooker recipes go. So, you use eight whole eggs separated and two extra whites in the meringue? I think this dessert sounds so sophisticated and fun. I love the flavors and how they will blend in the end. My favorite part is that you use the orange zest. I think that the peel makes the fruit flavor much brighter. There are some dishes I won't make without citrus zest.
