Those frozen homestyle noodles are so yummy - I frequently cook them up, toss them with a little bit of butter, and use them as a base for many different chicken and beef slow cooker dishes. I wasn't sure if you could just add them in or if they would turn out gluey or mushy. They seem to be holding up just fine in this picture! Will try!

Beef and noodles is such an old fashioned comfort food. It sounds delicious. My son doesn't like mushrooms, but I'll add them anyway. He can pick them out! I've never used the frozen noodles, so I am looking forward to trying them.

I want to try this recipe, but I am not a mushroom lover. Is there some other soup that would work in place of the mushroom soup, maybe Campbell's Golden Onion? I don't think that cream of chicken would work so well, but that is what I normally substitute for mushroom soup.
