Will it make much difference if I just use regular, black pepper for this dish? I don't have the white pepper, and I rarely use it, so I would hate to add it to my list just for it to sit in the cabinet. One of my friends might have some, but I was thinking about just using the black pepper.

Hi SissieSass, you can substitute black pepper for the white pepper. However, I would recommend using less black pepper than the recipe calls for because it has a stronger flavor than white pepper. I hope that helps! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes

I really love this recipe and it turned out perfectly both times I have made it. But I was just wondering if the same seasoning would work for chicken made in the slow cooker. And would you put chicken parts in the slow cooker or a whole chicken? My husband loves chicken, and I was wanting to try a pulled chicken sandwich recipe if you think this would work.
