All-Day Slow Cooker Gumbo

All-Day Slow Cooker Gumbo is a rich and savory stew that features shrimp, chicken, and andouille sausage. This classic Cajun dish is packed with flavor without being heavy. I always wondered what the difference was between Cajun seasoning and creole seasoning. I used Zatarains blackened seasoning for this one time, and Tony Chachere's bold more spice creole seasoning a different time, and they both tasted amazing. Don't make the mistake of adding the shrimp too early, or it will shrink up and become tough. It only takes a few minutes to cook through!

We just love Gumbo, and this recipe for the All-Day Slow Cooker Gumbo is so easy! I really like the idea of putting it all into a slow cooker and go on with my day and have dinner in a hour after being home. So much better than standing at the stove for hours like I do when I make Gumbo. I do have one question though, where can I find the Cajun spice here in the North? I have never seen it in our stores. What spices are in it, thinking I can just make my own.. I'm looking forward to making this easy gumbo. Thank you so much for sharing this free recipe.
