This recipe would be great for somebody who wants a dairy free alternative to cream in their soups, but it doesn't look low calorie at all. It says the recipe yields 6 cups, and equivalently 6 servings of soup, but there is a whole pound of bacon AND a whole pound of sausage. I realize that this is the raw weight, and that much of the weight / fat renders off when browning, but it still really seems like a lot. I would probably only use about half of those amounts. Looks like a very flavorful soup otherwise.
