I love rustic soup recipes like this any time of the year! The fingerling potatoes are ideal, since you don't even have to peel the skins off of them first. Just a quick scrub and they're done! The cream cheese melts so well into the broth, giving it a fabulous rich and creamy texture.

I like potato soup and we are looking for some new winter soup recipes. As often as we buy potatoes, I have never noticed skinny fingerling potatoes at the store. I'll look for them next week, so I can plan to make this hearty soup next weekend. It's so much more economical to make soup at home, compared to ordering it at a restaurant!
