These wouldn't just be great as an appetizer or party food - my family will make these often for dinner as a main dish, or as an accompaniment to a southwest themed salad. Although they are creamy and cheesy, they are still much healthier than those prepared frozen ones, or the fried restaurant version, since they are eventually baked. You could substitute the reduced fat Neufchatel for the cream cheese and it will still taste the same. I love it!
