When you say the juices in the beef package, are you talking about the beef when you first open it, or the juice from it after cooking it in the crockpot? I like to use the crockpot drippings for gravy sometimes because it gives the gravy the flavor of the roast or beef.

Hi SissieSass, yes the blogger is referring to the juices from the beef package when it's first opened. - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes

I am in the UK, as well and was wondering if you could possibly use tinned corn beef or is that way too soft for this slow cooker recipe? I understand that it probably would be but I always seem to have a tin or two in my cupboard so that would make it quite handy to make this dish with.

Hi kenziewood07, I don't know if canned corned beef would work since, like you said, it might be too soft. However, since cabbage doesn't take too long to cook, it might be worth a shot. - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes

Love the idea of this recipe but here in the UK we can't get corned beef brsiket, we can get brisket but that is all, is there a way of making our own corned beef, and also what would the seasoning packet be. I would love to be able to cook this and other Irish recipes. Hope you are able to help. Thanks
