Slow Cooker Basil Chicken and Rice
This is a great recipe to make for a weeknight meal. It is simple and delicious. Slow Cooker Basil Chicken and Rice is something everyone in your house will like. You should cook the chicken, leeks, basil, butter, and chicken broth for 6 hours. Then, it is time to stir in minute rice and put the lid back on and cook for about 25 minutes more. Regular rice can tend to get gummy in the slow cooker. Minute rice is parboiled then dried, so it doesn’t get gummy and it cooks fast. This easy slow cooker chicken and rice recipe is basic and tender and your family will enjoy eating it.

Not very many people in my family will eat anything but chicken breasts. I like the thighs sometimes but you would think the end of the world came. I am going to try and make the thighs in the crock pot and see if they like it I put basil and butter on them when I put them in the oven but maybe it will absorb more flavor in the crock pot. Thanks for the recipe. Ifyou use chicken breast instead of thighs how much more cooking time will it need?
