I like that this dish doesnt have any sort of heavy sauce yet is full of flavor. Red potatoes are the perfect choice for this dish. New red potatoes from the garden would be even better. I would be sorely tempted to slightly increase the amount of garlic and add fresh or frozen green beans near the end of the cooking time.Serve with a nice green salad for the ideal dinner.

This a great all in one meal or a family of four! Make sure you don't cut corners by skipping the skillet step, though. This step makes all the difference in that it crisps and browns up the skin, renders out some of the greasy fat, and really boosts the flavors. I would recommend using a liner or at least spraying the crock pot with cooking spray, since the parmesan has a tendency to stick.

When I first saw this recipe, I thought it was chicken parmesan with marinara sauce. I was pleased to see it is chicken garlic parmesan. This will be a great hearty weeknight meal. My slow cooker has a browning function, so it will be even easier. Thanks for the great recipe!

I like the fact that you sear the chicken first before putting it in the slow cooker. I like the addition of the potatoes. All you need is a vegetable or salad and you are all set.

I love easy weeknight recipes like this one - there's nothing like coming home to a delicious home cooked meal like this! I would serve this with a side salad and some rolls or even with a side of pasta. I wonder if anyone has tried substituting italian sausage instead of chicken? I bet that would be delicious too! I might also add some strips of green pepper for extra taste and colour!
