Could I use something in place of the marscapone in this recipe? I have never used it before, and I want to use something I know like creamed cheese or whipped cream maybe. Do you know what would be a good substitute? I think your custard sounds so tasty and moist. I can't wait to make it.

Hi SissieSass, you can make a substitute for marscapone using cream cheese and a few other ingredients: http://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/substitute-for-mascarpone-cheese-28620 - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes
