Ingredients
- 1 lemon
- 24 ounces dried prunes (about 4 cups)
- 7 ounces mixed dried fruits (about 1/1/2 cups)
- 6 ounces dried apricots (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 4 cups V8 V-Fusion® Pomegranate Blueberry
- 1 cup white zinfandel wine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions

Grate 1 teaspoon zest from the lemon.

Stir the prunes, mixed fruit, apricots, cranberries, raisins, juice, wine, lemon zest and vanilla extract in a 6-quart slow cooker.

Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.

I can't use the dried apricots because of a food allergy. Is there another ingredient that I can substitute for the apricots in this dish? My husband loves fruit desserts, so I am thinking that this one might become a favorite for him. I bet he asks me to make it more than once.
