I have never cooked with mace before. What is it like? Is there another spice that it is similar to in taste? I want to try it, but I am not going to spend the money if it tastes like something I don't like. I have heard of the spice, I have just never used it before, but otherwise the recipe sounds yummy.

Hi SissieSass, mace is actually related to nutmeg. So if you like nutmeg, you will probably like the taste of mace. I hope that helps! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes
