In the picture it is shown loaded with apple slices. I do not think the recipe calls for actual apples, just apple juice. But a nice idea for a garnish, I think, for a great presentation. I can SMELL this bubbling in the crock as I am writing this. Thanks for sharing, and I am looking forward to giving this drink a try, most likely over the holidays with my family.
