How much dry ginger powder would I use in this recipe in place of the fresh grated ginger? I think this dish sounds so yummy. I will have to leave out the star anise. I am not a fan at all, but maybe that is why the recipe was so strong for hitcheforever. I like that you used the low-sodium soy sauce.

Thought the flavor was unusual a lil intense but it so unique that we liked it a lot. What was disappointing was how dry the meat came out. IDK if it was sumthin I did or jus the way the recipe was written. The juice lftovr makes for a gr8 Au Jus tho ) Wouldn't mind trying it again someday.
