SO I did try this out adding the hard cooked bacon and let me tell you, it took the corn pudding to a Whole 'Nuther Level! I think the bacon should be hard cooked because it will soak up moisture from the corn mixture (corn with water added) and will make the bacon become the perfect texture in the finished dish, THanks for this recipe!

I never knew that that was what corn pudding was. My mom has made this before. Usually during the Thanksgiving holiday. But she's never made it with...bacon! Super-secret ingredient bacon adds that extra touch to really make this dish memorable and have family asking for more. I agree about not cooking it on high. Best to let this sit and cook slowly. DO not rush this. Also, do not forget to spray the crock with your cooking spray. That is crucial.
