Using the aluminum foil packets is a great way to cook fresh sweet corn, since all of the butter and herby goodness doesn't all end up in the bottom of the crock pot. You don't have to roll each corn around on the bottom at the end to try to salvage the flavor, since it is stuck right on the corn throughout the process.
