Can I just use more cream cheese instead of the whipping cream, or does it make a huge difference in the taste of the dish? I love corn, but I never though to add cheddar cheese to the mix. I know a friend that cooks dishes with cream cheese in everything. I have to admit her chicken salad and mashed potatoes are to die for. I can't wait to see her this summer and have seconds of her dishes.

I love creamed corn and I was thrilled to see this recipe. Now I can put all the ingredients in my slow cooker and let it cook while I get the main dish ready. I will try it with the cheddar cheese but I am sure you can leave that part out if you do not want it. Thanks for posting the recipe.

I've always overlooked creamed corn, but the promise of cheddar cheese-infused creamed corn is just too enticing!

When a recipe shows you a picture that looks so enticing to make you want to eat something even though it's not really your favorite thing... that is what we have here. I am pretty sure it comes down to one thing. Cheddar cheese. Thanks for posting this old timer favorite.

Wow, this sounds like a really easy and delicious way to make creamed corn. And with the addition of cheddar cheese, how could it be any better? I am wondering if anyone else has noticed that organic frozen corn tastes more like fresh off the cob than other corn? I don't think my taste buds are lying to me, but you never know.
