"I am a very (very) firm believer that the slow cooker (and the electric pressure cooker) along with meals like this are the reasons my home continues to function in at least a semi-sane and scheduled manner. My older boys went to a basketball game just last night and they were able to grab a bowl of this Slow Cooker Beef Chili and eat it in the car on the way there. This weekend we'll use the leftovers to make an easy chili pie to serve when friends come over!"

This chili looks wonderful, but I am a bit nervous that it will be too spicy. We love chili at my house, but we don't make it hot. I like how easy this recipe is, so I will try it but I better go light on the cayenne. I will definitely make cornbread to go with it.

Your 'bacon' quiz has a wrong answer listed as right...the first meal eaten on the moon wasn't 'freeze-dried bacon cubes', it was a Catholic Communion wine and wafer consumed by Buzz Aldrin.
