The Tovolo King Cube Tray is not only a fantastic ice cube tray, but it is also great for making juice cubes, saving soup, and much more. The silicone tray is designed to make giant cubes of ice, perfect for cocktails. The tray is sturdy, small, and easy to clean.
For me, the perfect cocktail has one giant cube of ice in it. Large cubes melt slower, so the drink is less diluted. The King Cube Tray makes 6 large cubes perfect for a cocktail. Other large ice cube trays only make one or two at a time, but I loved that you could make 6 cubes at a time with this Tovolo tray.
The tray is not only great for making ice cubes, but also for saving leftover sauces, stock, and more. Just pour all of your leftover sauce in the tray and use it whenever a recipe calls for a small amount. Never waste leftovers again!
I was a little weary that the material was silicone since it can slightly flimsy. I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy the tray actually is and how nicely it rests in the freezer. The tray is not flimsy at all and is easy to transport from your sick to the freezer without spilling. The silicone also means the tray will last for years to come without ripping or breaking.
