Peppered Beef Shank in Red Wine
We are excited to share a great recipe that you can use for a casual dinner or family gathering. Peppered Beef Shank in Red Wine is a flavor-packed dish that is a bit more upscale to build a menu around. By cooking this cut of meat low and slow, the marrow in the bone in this meat melts out, creating a smoother and richer sauce, helping the meat to get more melting and tenderized. An entire bottle of red wine, some beef broth, and a bit of balsamic vinegar and pepper help pump up the richness of taste for this sweet and savory easy slow cooker beef dish. Add in some garlic mashed potatoes and some grilled vegetables and a champion meal will wow your guests.

I love the garlic, but my husband is not a fan. How many cloves would you suggest I use to get a little of the garlic taste without overwhelming the dish or making it the most prevalent flavor in the recipe? I am sure that there is a happy medium in there somewhere.

Hi SissieSass, 3 or 4 cloves would probably work. - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes
