Ingredients
- 8 cups water
- 2 cups steel-cut oats
- 1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
- 1 cup apples, coarsely chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- Topping suggestions: fresh fruit, chopped nuts, toasted coconut or brown sugar
Instructions

Place all ingredients in slow cooker and stir to combine.

Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours or overnight.

Stir and serve with milk and toppings as desired.

In all my years of eating oatmeal...it took me finding this recipe to realize that there was a thing called Steel-Cut Oatmeal. At first I kept thinking...won't the oatmeal get mushy overnight? Then it dawned on me that Steel-Cut Oats were used and thanks to Google and this yummy recipe...I now have a new addition to my oatmeal family. lol I can't wait to try it!
