The basil and oregano in this recipe didnt sound great to me so I left them out. Also we replaced the beans with carrots and I used ordinary soy sauce, not the low sodium one which I dont like, and my man added a chopped fresh chili because he likes chili, lol. These small changes aside, it is a really tasty dish and I love the long slow cooking which does wonderful things to the flavors. We will definitely be having it again!

This looks delicious and is really easy. The broiling at the end creates that great color on the skin of the chicken thighs and is worth the few extra minutes. The only downside of this recipe is the need to baste the chicken every hour. That means it is a good recipe for days when I am at home, but not work days or other times I am away most of the day. Nevertheless, this is a keeper.
