I have always wanted to make a holiday drink to bring to my mom's house. I could bring the ingredients and make it a few hours before the rest of the family arrives. I love the option of the espresso AND the Schnapp's for a "happy" drink to get the crowd going. You do need to go easy on the real peppermint oil and add only a tiny bit at a time because it DOES get overpowering really fast. Enjoy!

My mom would absolutely love this recipe. She is always asking us to bring her a peppermint hot chocolate from McDonald's. I think I might surprise her and bring a batch for Christmas. She would go crazy for the recipe. Great addition to the slow cooker beverages on the cooking site!

Although a lot of people like the mixture of chocolate and mint, I am not one of them. While they will likely really enjoy this recipe, I'd just as soon have straight hot chocolate.
