Summer is a great time for planning barbecue menus. Grilling hot dogs and hamburgers are easy main dishes and Barbecue Slow Cooker Baked Beans can be a great side dish that your guests will enjoy. These baked beans are not quick to make but well worth the effort you put in. The beans need to be soaked the night before and the next day be put into the slow cooker with a tomato paste, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and a host of other ingredients to bring a soulful flavor to your dish.

I make this twice a year.. I purchase heirloom beans from online "Rancho Gordo".. You don't know how many years old the ones in the store are.. The beans from this company make a difference

You can never go wrong with slow cooker baked beans.

We love to cook baked beans in my family. My mom likes to make them homemade for almost every summer holiday and occasion. Ohhh, I love the ingredients you chose for these beans. There is everything I would put in and then a few surprises. Do you pack the brown sugar when you measure it or do you leave it loose in the measuring cup? I can't wait to make these for my mom's Memorial Day Party.

Me too, i have made beans in the owen before but I didnt know about slow cook. Also, I use sugar if Molasses are not to be found at that day. Also, is vinegar important to this recipe? Somehow I have hard time to include vinegar into cooking, beside the salads.

I have made baked beans in the oven before, but have never thought to try making them in my slow cooker! What a great idea - especially in the summer when I don't want to heat up my house by using the oven! I would probably pre-cook my beans in my pressure cooker to save the overnight soak time. I look forward to trying these soon!
