I have seen several recipes that call for a dark soda. What is it that makes the recipe so good when you use the pop? Does the carbonation do something or maybe the caramel flavor or color? I cannot wait to try this dish out because I think my family will really enjoy it.

Easy slow-cooked recipes like this are amazing! I've cooked pork in root beer and Dr. Pepper, so I imagine this will turn out just as good. It will be nice to make this and have it ready in the slow cooker when we get home from work.
