Can I just use fresh onion instead of the onion soup mix? How much would I use, and do I need other seasonings without the soup mix? I am just not a fan of the stuff at all, and I would rather use fresh ingredients as much as I can.

Hi SissieSass, I'm not sure about a substitution, so I would recommend commenting on the recipe on the blogger's site. - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes
