Since this breakfast or brunch treat takes 5 hours to prepare, plan to be getting up early to turn that slow cooker on, especially since this dish tastes best when served immediately. Also, it cooks for 2-3 hours, so the biscuit dough will cook all the way through. The slow cooker gets hot enough and distributes heat well! I also think this would be great as an orange cranberry bake.

what an interesting way to use biscuits! I love blueberry muffins so this looks like something similar, yet in a different form. Making a lemon glaze for the topping adds a twist to a breakfast treat that could also be considered a dessert item. I wonder if there's any problem with the biscuit dough not cooking all the way through?
